Technical Details
EP on-line is an Intranet application, with the 112 templates in the native format of the associated applications (MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, HTML, etc). The procedures, work instructions and check lists are all in HTML ready to extend (or establish) your intranet.
EP on-line is modular in design to enable full customisation. The key components of the EP on-line process are:
- Procedures - the "what" is required to be done, giving the overall process flow and context of the work instructions
- Work Instructions - the "how" to do the task with detailed instructions on the techniques and required details of the various outputs in the referenced templates (with examples)
- Templates - the ready-to-go "boilerplates" that give a major productivity boost to the team and ensures a consistent result across the company
- Check Lists - the quick "reminder" at both the procedure and work instruction level
Every procedure and work instruction has an associated check list. Check lists are a concise summary of
the procedure/work instruction in the form of "one-liners". These are a highly practical means of increasing the productivity and quality of your team efforts.
The EP on-line process is based on an extended "'V" model where the analysis, design and implementation activities have corresponding testing and verification activities. The extensions to this model relate to the project start-up, baselining, installation, production, maintenance and support, project management, configuration management, quality assurance, system administration and general administration activities.
